Gloucester, MA

We stumbled upon Gloucester's Eastern Point (where The Perfect Storm was filmed), because our TinTin decided that the sun was taking too long to rise and wanted to get up at 4:30am. But after seeing the Thacher Island Twin Lights, I'm so thankful that he wanted to get up early!

Knowing that my 24-105mm wouldn't do justice but I couldn't help but kept pulling over and taking multiple shots of the same view.

Travel tips:

Get up early if you can. I think the fog makes the twin lights appear even more surreal.

Pack a light sweater for the little ones. It gets a bit nippy in the morning  around the island.

Stay here. Great bang for the buck. Only 20 minutes drive from Boston. An hour to Gloucester. Includes a full breakfast bar!
